Worked and played with the blog posting more comments and looking at the other blogs. I'm siding with Kim on this blogging stuff. Posting the way I think and feel on the world wide web isn't really comforting. Not so sure about all this yet.
It is important for kids to "have a voice"; by having the ability to write for a targeted audience has the potential to do wonders for confidence, pride, and writing skills.
That's why it is so important to put safety of Internet use first. You NEVER post your full name or personally identifible information.
Just as you wouldn't turn a child loose with woodshop tools w/o proper instruction, we must model and teach the proper use of these tools, as well.
Hi Lisa, i am posting on thing 2 as I am having trouble posting to your new posting. Any ideas on why it is not working/ I love your picture of your view from the school. I may try that out our window. I agree with you on computers. If I can do it without flubbing, it is kind of fun. I too am more willing to look at this daily now. Myra will be so pleased of us.

I agree most heartedly, it is tough to put my thoughts on the worldwide web! As a parent I haven't felt comfortable with letting my kids do it either
Anonymity is really the issue.

Myra, I really liked what you said about teaching the proper way to use all of these new tools!
Lisa,
I just found the profile location too. I know for our kids that isn't the safest thing - but it is pretty cool!
Very cool, Lisa!
Will do a little "tutorial" on how to add the photo where you want it.
Also, I will add a step-by-step to make sure readers can comment on your blog...looks like the option was changed somewhere along the line.
One time...all pink! Now...all green! Nice.
